Paris Orly Airport

Orly airport lies 13 km south of Paris Orly is mostly used for domestic traffic and low cost operators, but also has flights to a number of European destinations, with French and foreign airlines; there are also a few long-haul flights from Orly. Orly airport has two terminals, quite close to each other; Orly Sud and Orly Ouest (South and West terminals). The two terminals are connected by the free light-rail Orlyval shuttle. Connecting from an international flight to a French domestic flight may sometimes involve a trip from CDG to ORY. At least two and a half hours should be allowed between arrival time at one airport and departure from the other. ► Hotels at Orly Airport: There are two hotels located on the airport at Orly, the *** Hilton, and the ** Ibis , located close to the terminals, and the *** Hotel Mercure located close to the exit road just outside the airport perimeter. Transport to/from/at Orly Airport Orly airport is linked to central Paris by airport buses, ordinary buses, taxis and the RER rail link to the city centre. ► Trains from ORLY airport Train to central Paris : the RER: The RER is the Paris urban transit rail system: it does not run right into Orly airport, but is reached by a light-rail connection, the Orlyval. RER B line. Orlyval trains take you directly in 8 minutes to the RER (express suburban train) station at Antony. Here you connect to RER line B for a direct and rapid train journey into central Paris (or on to CDG airport - same price). Cost : 9.50 €uros. There is no main-line railway station at Orly. ► Bus from Orly to central Paris You can also take the Orlybus shuttle direct from the airport, the bus route terminates at Denfert Rochereau metro station in the southern part of central Paris. Cost 7 €uros - tickets can be bought on the bus. ► Les Cars Air France (Air France coaches) operate a services to central Paris. Line 1 is from ORY to Champs Elysées via Gare Montparnasse, for trains to west and southwest France (cost 12.50 €uros). Orly - Disneyland connections Choose between shuttle buses, and the RER . Shuttle busses, run by VEA, operate about every 45 minutes at peak times (morning) and every hour thereafter. The bus service, cost 18 €, stops at both terminals. Orly South at the Bus station, Orly West at Level 0 gate 1. The journey lasts about 50 minutes to an hour. Alternatively, take the RER : change in central Paris at Châtelet les Halles onto RER line A for Marne la Vallée. Cost : just 9.50 € per person: Taxis. Available at all terminals, for a quick drive into central Paris. Cost anything from 30 € upwards depending on destination, time of day, traffic congestion. Cost : allow 25 € to 50 € under normal circumstances.
